Summertime in the Flower Fields
The best part about summer in Ontario (besides long weekends on the water of cours!) is exploring some of the hidden gems just outside of Toronto. Some of the most photogenic spots are tucked away on farm fields. Lucky for us, several farms open their gates in the summer and allow visitors to explore the fields - and of course snap photos! These are a few of my favourite local flower fields.
Bonneheath Lavender Farm
Not only can you explore the lavender fields, you can also enjoy a glass of wine made onsite. An obvious pairing!
Davis Family Farm
Happily this farm was a little more under the radar than the show stopping Bogle Seeds this summer! This farm is just as beautiful, and has well kept paths to wander.
Prince Edward County Lavender
A visit to The County in June isn’t complete with our a visit to this lavender farm. It’s also home to a super cute gift shop selling all things lavender!
Andrew’s Scenic Acres
These Dahlia fields are just one of the many pick-your own crops on hand here. And at just $1 a stem it’s easy to come home with armfuls flowers!
Bonus: Toronto Flower Market
For those weekends when you can’t make it out of the city ... the flowers come to you at the Toronto Flower Market.
