What's New in Prince Edward County

We make our way to Prince Edward County once or twice a year - and these days, every time we go there is always a new brewery, winery, hotel or restaurant to visit. Our June trip was no exception! Here's a round up of what's new in Prince Edward County (some rediscovered favourites)

What's New

Parson's Brewing Company

There's nothing like a farmhouse overlooking a beautiful piece of countryside - which is why I love the setting of Parson's Brewing Company. We took advantage of the gorgeous spring weather to have lunch on their patio and sample a flight of beer.

The June Motel

I've been curious to check out the June Motel ever since I came across their Instagram feed. I remember driving past the building when it was the old Sportsman Motel on the way from Kingston to Sandbanks, so it was very cool to see there huge makeover the June has had. We didn't stay this time, but I'll defiantly be booking here on my next trip to the County.

The County Collective

This pop-up shop in Bloomfield is full of local finds that make great gifts or nice items to keep for yourself to remind you of your trip.

New Favourites

County Cider

The views alone are worth the trip here ... but throw in the delicious ciders, the restaurant overlooking the lake and the fact that it is pet friendly, and this spot is easily one of my favourites in The County. New since I was there last is the separate tasting room and more space for the cider shop!

Huff Estates

I last stayed here in 2008 when I was going to a wedding nearby - just when the Prince Edward County wine industry was getting started. We stayed here this time around because the are one of the few places that don't have a two night minimum, but we're pleasantly surprised how great our stay was. A complementary breakfast and wine tasting was included in our stay, and their sculputure garden made for the perfect spot to have a happy hour. Not to mention all of their lavender and roses were in full bloom!
